COVID-19 Update: July 20th, 2020

Lenawee County, MI – The Lenawee County Health Department has reported nine new confirmed cases of COVID-19 Monday afternoon.

There are now 284 confirmed cases… with 101 people monitoring at home, and 167 people “discontinued from isolation and improving.”

Five people were in the hospital as of Monday afternoon. 11 total deaths from COVID-19 have been reported in Lenawee County.

How is the virus impacting surrounding counties?

Jackson: 562 confirmed cases (+2 since Sunday) with 31 deaths (+0 since Sunday)

Monroe: 637 confirmed cases (+4) with 21 deaths (+0)

Hillsdale: 204 confirmed cases (+1) with 25 deaths (+0)

Washtenaw: 1848 confirmed cases (+15) with 109 deaths (+0)

Statewide as of Monday afternoon…

There were 74,152 total confirmed cases, with 489 new cases reported on Monday. There were 7 deaths reported on Monday, with 2 on Sunday. The total deaths from COVID-19 in Michigan, as reported by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, is at 6,126.

On a positive note, 55,162 people (+ 1,295 since last week) are being reported as recovered as of Friday, July 17th. Recovered is defined as the number of persons with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis who are alive 30 days post-onset (or referral date if onset is not available). Recovery numbers are updated every Saturday.
