The ordinance says that “No person shall throw, deposit, leave, cause or permit the depositing or leaving of yard clippings onto a public street or alley.”

This ordinance is set in place for the protection of motorists and to help prevent flooding within the street network. Failure to comply may result in a municipal civil infraction.

Yard clippings can be collected and taken to the Compost Site on Tuesdays from Noon to 7pm and Saturdays from 8am to 2pm.
