A 51-year-old Onsted man has died as a result of injuries sustained after the motorcycle he was driving crashed in Lenawee County.
At approximately 1 am Wednesday, March 11th, troopers responded to the single vehicle crash on Devils Lake Highway north of U.S. 223. From evidence at the scene, Michigan State Police Troopers were able to determine that the white 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by Paul Bishop, was traveling south on Devils Lake Highway when he crossed the center line and began to brake.
Bishop then lost control of the motorcycle, left the roadway to the north, impacted a berm and began to overturn. During this sequence of events, the driver was separated from the motorcycle.
He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The Michigan State Police were assisted on the scene by the Addison Fire Department and the Lenawee County Medical Examiner’s Office.
