A Lenawee Intermediate School District school bus was involved in an accident at the intersection of M-50 and Occidental Highway within the city of Tecumseh at approximately 7:30 Thursday morning. The accident involved one other vehicle.
At the time of the accident, there were five students and three staff members on the school bus. Neither the occupants of the other vehicle nor any LISD students or staff members reported any obvious injuries at the time of the accident, however, some of the students were taken to the hospital for further observation as a precautionary measure where they will be reunited with their parents. Those students who were not taken to the hospital were transferred to school at the direction of their parents.
The City of Tecumseh Police Department is investigating the accident.
