Citizens Express Concern Over Continued Water Taste/Odor Issues in The City of Adrian

The City of Adrian has been experiencing taste and odor issues with tap water this summer, and Mayor Chuck Jacobson gave an update at Monday night’s City Commission meeting.

Mayor Jacobson said that we are drawing more water from Lake Adrian, which is the source of the taste and smell. A dry summer and high water usage in the city is a driving factor behind drawing a higher percentage of water from the lake than usual.

In July of this year, the city utilities department released a statement that basically echoed what Mayor Jacobson said during the meeting. If you still have questions or concerns, feel free to contact the Water Treatment Plant at 264-4820.

The City of Adrian received a detailed report on the quality of the drinking water, and will be given to WLEN News.
