Dundee Police are warning area businesses that a counterfeit $100.00 bill was attempted to be used for a food purchase at McDonald’s this morning.
The currency paper passed a validity check, however the bill was noticeably smaller than regulation size. The manager took the counterfeit bill and advised the customer that change had to be made in the office and called police. The customer apparently became nervous and left without the bill and his order.
Images of the customer will be shared later. Anyone with information or any businesses experiencing a similar situation are asked to contact Officer Steve Schmidt at 734/529-3430 ext 1810 or sschmidt@villageofdundee.net
