The City of Adrian has been experiencing some taste and odor issues associated with the City water. Due to the dry conditions and higher water demand, the water withdrawal from Lake Adrian has increased. This has resulted in the taste and odor issues experienced by some residents. The Water Plant is currently using all four groundwater wells accounting for over 90% of the source water being treated. The City of Adrian has also begun the process of utilizing an activated carbon process to help alleviate the issues.
The City of Adrian assures residents that the water has remained safe to drink and meets or exceeds water quality standards. Adrian City residents should feel free to contact the Water Treatment Plant at (517) 264- 4820 with any questions or concerns.
