No. 31 — again. Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford has been ranked No. 31 in the NFL Top 100 players for the second year in a row. The ranking is voted on by current NFL players.

Stafford is coming off one of his more successful seasons in his nine-year NFL career. He threw for a total of 4,446 yards, 29 touchdowns and only tossed 10 interceptions.

Stafford’s 2017 season is relatively similar to 2016, where he threw for 4,327 yards, 24 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Stafford’s play in 2017, however, was not enough for the Lions to reach the playoffs with a regular season record of 9-7.

Stafford joins teammate and cornerback Darius Slay, who ranked No. 49, as the only two Lions players to be selected in the ranking. Slay had 54 tackles and eight interceptions during the 2017 season.
