We will honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in law enforcement for our community.
The traditional program includes an honor guard, a 21-gun salute, the playing of “Taps,” lowering the U.S. and Michigan flags, and the placement of a wreath to honor the fallen.
This year MSP Trooper Byron Erickson will be honored. Erickson passed away 25 years ago (7-31-93).
The event is open to the public and will take place rain or shine. There will be a tent set up in case of rain. The memorial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery at 11am Tuesday, May 15th.
