The results of a countywide health assessment survey was presented Monday, April 30th, hosted by the Lenawee Health Network and ProMedica Bixby Hospital. A few statistics presented included:
- 73% of Lenawee County adults visited a doctor for a routine checkup in the past year.
- 8% of lenawee County adults were uninsured in 2017…down from 12% in 2014.
- 6% of Lenawee County adults misused prescription drugs in the past six months…down from 8% in 2014.
- 92% of 6-11 year olds visited a dentist in the past year.
- 1% of Lenawee County adults are 5+ servings a day of fruits and vegetables.
- 60% of adults went outside Lenawee County for health care services in the past year.
The Lenawee Health Network will use this data to prioritize needs and incorporate action plans to improve the health of our community.
