MORENCI— The Adrian Center for the Arts has named Morenci Elementary School teacher Rachel Siefert as the inaugural Lenawee Art Teacher of the Year,
The award honors her commitment to arts education and student creativity.
The award recognizes art educators who inspire students and strengthen the community through the arts.
ACA officials say Siefert creates an engaging classroom environment where students explore a variety of artistic mediums and techniques while building confidence and creativity.
Siefert also organizes an annual student art show showcasing student work and community involvement. She will receive gift certificates from Dick Blick Art Supplies and the Adrian Center for the Arts totaling $550.
