ADRIAN — The Michigan Department of Transportation will begin a traffic signal modernization project Monday at the US-223 and Division Street intersection in Adrian.
Work starts at 9 a.m. Monday, May 4, and is scheduled to continue through July 2.
Drivers should expect intermittent single-lane closures during construction and possible delays in the area.
MDOT said lane restrictions are needed to provide a safe work zone for crews and motorists.
The agency said upgraded signals are expected to improve traffic flow and increase safety at the busy Lenawee County intersection once the project is complete.
