Dorothy Mae Catenacci, a beloved mother and talented artist, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026. Born in Dearborn, Michigan, to Iva and Armand Joseph, Dorothy carried the spirit of her Michigan roots throughout her life.  In 1987, Dorothy moved to Florida, where she spent 33 years enjoying the sun and the sea. She recently returned home to Michigan to spend her final years surrounded by the love of her family.  Dorothy was a woman of many talents and vibrant passions. She found great joy in the floral arts and the culinary arts, but she was perhaps most fueled by her career as an antique dealer. She truly loved the “art of the deal” and the thrill of discovering hidden treasures. When she wasn’t hunting for antiques, she could often be found on the water; she was an avid fan of deep-sea fishing and took great pride in catching grouper.  She is survived by two children; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind one sister, one niece, and one great-niece, all of whom will forever carry her warmth and adventurous spirit in their hearts.  A private family service will be held on Friday April 24, 2026, at Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia, MI to celebrate Dorothy’s life. The family deeply appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this time.  Arrangements with Purse Funeral Home.  www.PurseFuneralHome.com
