Kathleen A. Morin, age 75, of Adrian, Michigan, passed away Friday, April 17, 2026, at Adrian Bay Rehab and Nursing Center.
Kathleen was born on August 28, 1950, in Aitkin, Minnesota, daughter of Kenneth Cecil and Louise Marie (Mischler) Spaid. There was always excitement going on in the Spaid home with nine children. Kathleen graduated from Aitkin High School.
On April 3, 1971, Kathleen and Allen Willard Morin were united in marriage in her hometown of Aitkin, MN. Over the next 40 years, they raised two daughters and lived their faith daily by helping others and sharing God’s word. Allen passed away in 2011.
Kathleen’s outgoing personality allowed her to reach many individuals in a variety of settings. Earlier in life, Kathleen was an assistant activity director at a nursing home facility. She was a longtime member at Berean Baptist Church of Adrian; where she previously led missions, sang in the choir, worked the church tent at the Lenawee County Fair and found time to visit shut ins. Kathleen enjoyed playing the piano and shopping.
She is survived by her daughters Sarah (Chris) Palmani and Renee (Joel) Vernon; four granddaughters, Audrey, Leiah, Eden and Lauren; brothers, Steven, Richard, Ken James (Mary), Michael (Mary) and Tim (Tracy) Spaid; and a wonderful extended family with many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at noon at Berean Baptist Church of Adrian with Pastor Doug Rogers officiating. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the service begins at the church. Kathleen will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ben and Becky Turner of Anchor Baptist Church for mission work.
