BLISSFIELD — Residents in Blissfield can expect overnight water system work next week.

The Blissfield Public Works Department will begin village-wide hydrant flushing starting April 12, continuing through April 24.

Flushing will take place nightly between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. to minimize disruption.

The work is intended to remove sediment buildup in water lines.

Officials say residents may notice rust-colored water during the process, but it remains safe to use and drink.

They recommend checking water color before doing laundry and running cold water briefly if discoloration is present.

For questions, residents can contact the Blissfield Village Office.
