ADRIAN — Lenawee County is set to host the annual Greg Adams E-Race Stigma 5K next month, aimed at raising awareness around mental health and overall wellness.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, May 17th in downtown Adrian, beginning at the Adrian Farmers Market. Organizers say the race is open to participants of all abilities and will also include a shorter kids dash for younger runners.
Registration is 15 dollars for the 5K and 5 dollars for the kids dash, with race day registration increasing to 20 dollars and cash only. Proceeds from the event will go toward supporting health education programs across Lenawee County.
Participants who register by May 1st are guaranteed a race t-shirt, and awards will be given to top finishers across multiple age groups. Race day packet pickup begins at 7 a.m., with chip timing provided for official results.
Organizers say the goal of the event is to reduce stigma surrounding mental health and substance use while promoting a focus on overall wellness—mind, body, and spirit.
