LENAWEE CO. — Distracted driving enforcement is ramping up across Lenawee County as part of Distracted Driving Awareness Month.
The Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office reports 72 distracted driving citations have already been issued since the start of the year, a number officials say reflects a continued focus on keeping drivers attentive behind the wheel.
The increase comes as deputies emphasize the risks tied to distracted driving, noting that many crashes are linked to drivers not paying attention.
For now, law enforcement says the goal is simple: get drivers to stay focused and reduce preventable crashes across the county.
