ADRIAN — Construction is underway on new STEM and career labs at three Adrian Public Schools elementary buildings.
The district said work has officially started at Lincoln, Michener, and Prairie elementary schools, with Alexander Elementary expected to begin construction this summer.
Adrian Public Schools said the projects are being funded through support from the Mouli Family, the Adrian Schools Educational Foundation, a $75,000 gift from the Hickman Family Foundation, and a district match.
School officials said the new labs are designed to support the district’s elementary science curriculum with dedicated space for hands-on experiments, investigations, and inquiry-based learning.
The district also said the labs are expected to expand opportunities for science-based clubs, enrichment activities, and extended learning experiences.
Superintendent Nate Parker said the construction marks an important phase in providing students with first-class STEM and career labs and supports the district’s long-term vision for innovative instruction.
