
ADRIAN — The Lenawee County Board of Commissioners approved a proclamation supporting the America250 initiative at its meeting Thursday night.
The resolution backs efforts by the Lucy Wolcott Barnum Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution to help mark the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States in 2026.
The America250MI program is a statewide effort encouraging communities to participate in commemorations through local events, education, and historical preservation.
With the approval, the county formally signaled its support for planning and participation in anniversary activities recognizing the nation’s founding and its history.
