Kathleen Roberta Pirkle, age 75, of Blissfield, died Thursday, March 19, 2026, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital, following several years of ailing health. Born June 5, 1950, in Monroe, she was the daughter of the late James and Roberta (Jacobs) Boedicker.
Kathy grew up in Monroe where she graduated high school. She later served as a nurse for the United States Army while stationed in Texas. She married Blissfield native Terry Lee Pirkle on November 10, 1972, in Monroe. They raised a son and daughter and celebrated over 53 years of beautiful memories.
When their children were toddlers, Kathy and Terry moved to Jacksonville, FL, where they made their home for 15 years before returning to live in Blissfield. Kathy worked for several medical offices in Florida and Ohio over the years. Christian by faith, she was a faithful member of Blissfield Baptist Church. Kathy enjoyed reading and playing games in her spare time and was proud of her vast collection of frog memorabilia. She was a simple, loving and family-oriented woman whose greatest concern was always the welfare of her family. She will be sorely missed.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Terry, is a son, Michael Pirkle of Blissfield; daughter, Michelle Harris of Blissfield; three sisters, Sharleen (Tom) of Toledo, OH, Coleen of Temperance and Denise of Monroe; two granddaughters, Cassandra Harris of ID, and Courtney Harris of Blissfield; and a sister-in-law, Melody Boedicker of Grass Lake. She was preceded in her death by her parents and brother, Dennis Boedicker.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 5-7 p.m. at the Marry Funeral Home in Blissfield. Private graveside services will take place in Pleasant View Cemetery in Blissfield.
