
NEIL F. GRINER, age 68 years of Jerome, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at his home. He was born on March 25, 1957, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Charles Francis and Janette (Barnes) Griner. Neil graduated from Addison High School in 1975 and earned his tool and die maker certification from Jackson Community College.
Neil married his high school sweetheart, Karen D. Zischke on October 20, 1979, at St. James Lutheran Church, Jackson. She survives. He worked at General Motors as a tool and die maker and then at Volvo as a supervisor for ten years in Maryland. Neil and Karen moved back to the area at Lake LeAnn to enjoy retirement on the lake. He enjoyed spending time boating, golfing and being with family.
Neil is survived by his wife, Karen; two children, Grant (Jodie) Griner and Lindsay Boike; four grandchildren, Anthony Capparelli-Griner, Alex Griner, Vincent Boike and Charles Boike; a sister, Barbara (Norm) Dolak; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Linda Gleason and brother, Glen Griner.
Neil’s wishes were to be cremated and family and friends to gather this summer at the lake home for a party in his honor. Details will be posted when date and time are set.
