ADRIAN — The City of Adrian has announced spring yard waste collection dates for residents.
Pickup is scheduled for Wednesday, April 15 and Wednesday, April 22. Yard waste must be placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on both days.
Officials say all yard waste must be in biodegradable or compostable paper bags and weigh no more than 50 pounds. Plastic bags and other unapproved containers will not be collected.
Branches and brush must be tied in bundles no longer than three feet, placed parallel to the curb, and also weigh less than 50 pounds.
Residents who have yard waste ready before collection dates can contact the Department of Public Works to schedule a drop-off at the city compost site.
The compost site, located off Oakwood Avenue, opens May 2. Hours will be Tuesdays from noon to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
For more information, residents can contact the Department of Public Services.
