LENAWEE CO. — Costco is recalling a prepared meal sold in Michigan and other states due to possible salmonella contamination.

The recall affects Item number 30783, Meatloaf with Mashed Yukon Potatoes and Glaze, sold between March 2nd and March 13th, with sell-by dates ranging from March 5th through March 16th.

The issue stems from an ingredient supplied by Griffith Foods that may be contaminated with salmonella. No illnesses have been reported.

Customers are advised not to eat the product and return it to Costco for a full refund.

Salmonella can cause serious infections, particularly in young children, older adults, and those with weakened immune systems.
