
UNION CITY — State Representative Jennifer Wortz is providing an update following the EF-3 tornado that struck Union City and warning residents to remain alert as more severe weather may move through the region.
Wortz says the storm caused devastating damage and loss of life, and she says officials at the local, state, and federal levels are working together to ensure affected families receive resources needed to recover and rebuild.
She also recognized first responders who have been assisting the community since the storm.
Additional storms are expected to move through the area Tuesday evening, and residents are being encouraged to take precautions and stay informed.

Residents can also contact the American Red Cross for disaster assistance at 1-800-RED-CROSS, or dial 2-1-1 to connect with local services including temporary housing, food, and crisis support.
Consumers Energy is asking residents to report outages or downed power lines at 800-477-5050.
