ADRIAN — Adrian City Administrator Chad Baugh has acknowledged a BMX track adjacent to the Kiwanis trail, which was recently discovered to be city property.
During Monday night’s meeting of the Adrian City Commission, Baugh brought up the track as a discussion topic.
According to Baugh, the track had been on the property for at least twenty years, and there is no record of who initiated its construction.
Knowledge of the track’s ownership came through the city’s insurance company, which lists the track under their liability policy.

Baugh says that the BMX track is not in the way of the pedestrian tunnel that is currently being built on the Kiwanis trail, and the discovery will not impact the tunnel’s construction.
