Matthew A. Taylor, age 64 of Hudson, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at ProMedica Hickman Hospital, Adrian. He was born on April 19, 1961, in Hudson, the son of Robert D. and Judy A. (Wheaton) Taylor, Jr.
Matt graduated from Hudson Area High School. He worked as a laborer in a steel factory before an injury caused him to become medically disabled. Matt loved to read, watch old movies, go to car shows and spend time with his grandsons.
Surviving Matt is his son, Kristjun (Sydney) Taylor; grandsons, Keighyn, Kaedyn and Karter, a brother, Robert (Beverly) Taylor; a sister, Becky (Burt) Johns; nieces, Brandi Taylor, Britney Taylor, and Casie (Chad) Nieswender; and two nephews, Cody Baxter and Nathan (Jamie) Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Joey Baxter; and an aunt, Julia Evans.
Cremation has taken place and service information will be posted when finalized.
Arrangements have been made with the guidance of the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home, Hudson.
