Among them is Cement City resident Michael Lodzinski, owner of Lodzinski and Associates, who was reappointed to the Michigan-Indiana State Line Commission. The commission oversees surveying and boundary issues along the Michigan-Indiana border.
In Milan, Dakota Aitson, a management assistant with the Washtenaw County Health Department, was appointed to the Michigan Board of Nursing. The board establishes qualifications and standards for nursing licensure across the state.
Two Jackson-area residents were also named to state panels. Carolyn Bloodworth, former executive director of corporate giving for Consumers Energy, was reappointed to the Commission on Community Action and Economic Opportunity, which advises the state on policies addressing poverty and services for low-income residents.
Additionally, Brian Eva, a major case specialist with Progressive Insurance, was appointed to the Automobile Theft Prevention Authority Board of Directors. That board works with law enforcement and insurers to combat vehicle theft in Michigan.
