WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service has announced a recall of frozen meatballs sold at Aldi stores nationwide.

Rosina Food Products, based in West Seneca, New York, is recalling about 9,462 pounds of ready-to-eat Bremer family-size Italian-style meatballs because they may contain small metal fragments.

The fully cooked frozen meatballs were produced July 30, 2025, and sold in 32-ounce bags with a best-by date of October 30, 2026. The affected packages contain about 64 meatballs and carry the USDA inspection number EST. 4286B.

Federal officials say the issue was discovered after a consumer complaint reporting metal fragments in the product.

No injuries have been confirmed.

Consumers who purchased the recalled meatballs are urged not to eat them and should throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.

The recall affects Aldi locations nationwide.
