TECUMSEH — The Tecumseh City Council received a fiscal year 2026-27 budget preview during its regular meeting Monday night.
The budget preview marks the beginning of the city’s annual budget process and provides council members with an early look at projected revenues and expenditures for the upcoming fiscal year.
City officials outlined the general timeline for budget development, including internal reviews, potential workshops and opportunities for council discussion before formal adoption.
The fiscal year 2026-27 budget will require final approval later this year following additional review and any necessary adjustments.
City leaders say the preview allows council to evaluate priorities and begin planning for the next budget cycle ahead of required adoption deadlines.
