In Loving Memory of Shirley Edwards
Shirley Edwards was the true pillar of our family-a woman of deep faith whose unconditional love and radiant presence defined our lives for 100 years. She had a rare, beautiful energy that drew everyone to her, and she remained young at heart until the very end. Some of our most cherished memories are the Sunday family dinners where she so loved having all her grandchildren gathered around the table. In her later years, she found that same joy just watching over her great-grandchildren; she would be right there on the floor playing with them well into her 80s, claiming they were the secret to her long and vibrant life.
She was a remarkably giving soul who lived to ensure those around her were cared for. Whether she was driving friends to church or offering her time at the Saline hospital, Shirley’s life was a beautiful reflection of her kindness. Her century on this earth was an incredible journey, and while we will miss her presence every day, her spirit lives on in the joy and peace she planted in all of us.
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness.” – 2 Timothy 4:7-8
