ADRIAN — Hospice of Lenawee is announcing a call for volunteers and will be holding volunteer training this spring.
The organization is seeking caring and compassionate individuals to support hospice patients, families, and staff through a variety of roles, including patient companionship, caregiver respite, office support, and event assistance. Officials say there is a particular need for volunteers willing to visit patients in their homes or care facilities.
Hospice of Lenawee will host four required training sessions on Wednesdays, beginning April 29 and running through May 20. Sessions will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hospice of Lenawee on Wolf Creek Highway in Adrian.
There is no cost to attend, but applicants must complete an application and meet with the director of volunteers before training. Applications are due by April 15.
Those interested can call Hospice of Lenawee during weekday business hours for more information.
