LANSING — The Michigan DNR will be having a Free Fishing Weekend this Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 14th and 15th. Michigan residents and visitors can enjoy fishing without a license; however, all other fishing regulations will apply.
The Michigan DNR will also be waiving the Recreation Passport fee, and granting free vehicle entry to all 103 state parks and more than 1,000 DR-managed boating access sites, where the access sites are plowed.
The Michigan DNR recommends that before you head out, to visit Michigan.gov/IceSafety for essential tips to ensure your on-ice activities are safe and enjoyable.
