ADRIAN — The Lenawee County Physical Resources Committee advanced several spending items last week focused on infrastructure maintenance and county operations.
Among the requests is the purchase of a 2026 Dodge Durango for the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office at a cost of just over $35,000. The vehicle was approved as part of the sheriff’s 2026 capital improvement plan and is ready for delivery.
The committee also reviewed a request to replace aging HVAC equipment at the Maple Drain building. The proposed replacement totals nearly $15,000 and falls within the county’s approved capital improvement budget.
In addition, the Drain Commission is seeking approval to increase mileage reimbursement rates for pickup trucks, citing higher vehicle replacement and maintenance costs. The proposed rate would increase from 65 cents to $1 per mile.
Committee materials also show hundreds of recent work orders across county buildings, highlighting continued maintenance needs at the jail, courthouse, and other facilities.
Further approvals are expected later this month.
