ADRIAN — The Lenawee County Materials Management Planning Committee has announced that they have not been reimbursed for a grant from the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy, or EGLE.
The grant paid for the committee’s creation in 2024 and its subsequent activities, but the committee was operating under the assumption that they would be receiving reimbursement.

An official letter sent to EGLE was signed by the Materials Management Committees of Ottawa and Kent Counties.
Materials Management Coordinator Julie Maurer expressed the committee’s support for the letter during their meeting on Wednesday.
