DETROIT — A VA deputy secretary visit is scheduled for Tuesday, February 10, at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit.
U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Deputy Secretary Paul R. Lawrence will meet with facility leadership and frontline staff as the medical center prepares for implementation of the Federal Electronic Health Record system.
The system is expected to allow the VA to manage a veteran’s complete medical history in one secure location and improve information sharing with the Department of Defense and community care providers.
The Detroit VA Medical Center is scheduled to implement the new electronic health record system in April 2026.
