JACKSON — The Jackson County Health Department is hiring for multiple positions across its public health programs, with openings aimed at strengthening services throughout the community.

The department says it is seeking applicants interested in meaningful, service-driven work in environmental health, community health, education and nursing.

Current openings include Sanitarian I and II positions in Environmental Health, an Administrative Clerk role in Community Health, and a seasonal or intern position focused on vector-borne disease surveillance.

The department is also hiring a Health Educator for its Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative and a Public Health Nurse for the Maternal Infant Health Program.

Officials say the positions support core public health functions, including disease prevention, environmental safety, maternal and infant health, and youth education.
