JACKSON — The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce is set to unveil Drive Jackson, a new 20-year vision plan for Jackson County, following nearly a year of community input and planning.
The Drive Jackson plan was developed with feedback from more than 1,300 residents, businesses, and local governments, generating nearly 6,000 individual comments through meetings, pop-up events, and online surveys. A 24-member Key Leadership Committee guided the effort with support from the planning firm Planning NEXT.
Organizers say the plan outlines long-term priorities aimed at strengthening quality of life, education, housing, economic vitality, and overall community health, while addressing projected population decline in the county by mid-century.
The plan will be formally revealed during the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce’s annual Victory Lap meeting on Wednesday, February 11, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cascades Manor.
Officials say the vision is designed to serve as a flexible roadmap that can be updated over time as conditions and community needs change.
Additional information will be released following the public unveiling.
