Fall prevention workshop set for March 18 in Lenawee County

LENAWEE CO. — Lenawee County TRIAD is hosting a fall prevention workshop aimed at helping older adults and caregivers reduce the risk of injury and improve daily safety.

The fall prevention workshop will be held on Wednesday, March 18, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Human Services Building in the River Raisin Room.

The session will be led by Martha York, community education coordinator with the Wellwise Services Agency on Aging. The workshop will cover practical strategies to prevent falls, identify hazards at home and in the community, and improve balance and stability.

Participants will also learn warning signs to watch for if they are concerned about falling or have already experienced a fall.

The workshop is open to older adults and caregivers. Seating is limited, and RSVP is recommended.
