BLISSFIELD — A community dog walk and social event is scheduled later this month in Blissfield.
The Walk and Wag event will take place Sunday, February 22, at Ellis and Bachmayer parks. Participants are asked to meet at the dog park at 1 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public. Organizers say all friendly dogs are welcome but must remain leashed.
Hot cocoa will be available for attendees, along with pup cups for dogs.
The walk also supports the Lenawee County Humane Society. Participants are encouraged to bring a donation to benefit the organization.
Organizers say the goal is to enjoy the winter season, promote responsible pet ownership and support local animal welfare efforts.
Again, Walk and Wag takes place Sunday, February 22, with a 1 p.m. meet-up at the dog park at Ellis and Bachmayer parks in Blissfield.
