ADRIAN — The Adrian Dominican Sisters have released a statement supporting the Leadership Conference of Women Religious and their call for an end to violence.

In light of growing global violence and the killing in Minneapolis of U.S. citizens Alex Pretti and Renee Good by ICE agents, the LCWR released a statement on Sunday, “unequivocally denounce[ing] the use of violence in any form.”

In their own statement, the Adrian Dominican Sisters stood by the LCWR’s plea and also called for truth-telling by all government officials, “pursuant to thorough and impartial investigations of fact, not speculation.”

The Sisters concluded by quoting the LCWR, quote, “Our hope does not rest in force or fear, but in the transformative power of love lived boldly and together,” unquote
