Jeanne Marie Rhinehart, age 66, of Adrian, passed away peacefully with her family with her at the loving Hospice Home of Lenawee.

Jeanne was born December 10, 1959 at Bixby Hospital in Adrian MI, to Robert and Harriet (Ganun) Merillat. She came into this world in her own way in a hallway with no one with her Mom, and left gracefully and courageously on January 24, 2026.

She spent her childhood in Blissfield and graduated from Blissfield High School in 1978.

She loved planning the class reunions and if you weren’t coming she calling you to find out why. She enjoyed seeing and spending time with the friends she grew up with.

Jeanne met Gary Rhinehart in 1979 and was married May 28,1985 in Toledo, OH. They spent 46 years doing love and life together.

Jeanne began working at Bixby Hospital (later ProMedica) on June 20, 1995, and was contemplating retirement before her cancer diagnosis in June 2025.

Jeanne loved music and going to concerts, and there wasn’t an artist or song she couldn’t name even with a few bad bars being hummed to her. She also enjoyed shows at the Croswell and Stranahan with her favorite people, including Gary, her mom, Aunt Mick and granddaughter Morgan. She also enjoyed going to the casino in South Bend, meeting up with her friends for a night of fun.

Jeanne and Gary loved to travel in the United States and Caribbean, they especially loved anywhere with a beach.

Jeanne with her close friend Gladys Sprunk took the brave leap and traveled to Paris France, Tuscany and Rome Italy in 2019. She loved that trip so much that in 2022 she returned to Italy with her sisters Susan and Cathy.

In October of 2023, she and Gary also enjoyed a Mediterranean cruise visiting many Greek Isles ending in Venice, Italy. There last cruise was in February 2025 visiting the Caribbean islands of Haiti, Curaçao , Aruba and Bonaire.
