BLISSFIELD — The Village of Blissfield is accepting applications for a new village treasurer.

The position serves as the village’s chief financial officer, overseeing budgeting, accounting records, tax collection, and other municipal financial operations. The treasurer also works closely with the Village Council and represents the village in public meetings.

Officials say the role requires strong financial management skills, experience with accounting software, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. An associate degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or business administration is required, along with a background check.

The starting salary is just over $61,000 annually, with an increase after the probationary period, plus a benefits package.

Applications must be submitted to the Village Clerk by 5 p.m. Thursday, February 26. Postmarks will not be accepted.
