TECUMSEH — The Tecumseh City Council has approved the 2026 Classic Car and Bike Show Series, continuing a popular seasonal event in the downtown area.
The series will take place on four Thursday evenings this summer: May 21, June 18, July 16 and Aug. 20.
To accommodate the events, North Ottawa Street will be temporarily closed from the street entrance to the first residential driveway on the east side. The northeast parking lot will also be closed during each event.
Closures will be in effect from 5 to 8 p.m. on event days.
City officials say Old National Bank has again agreed to allow the use of its parking lot to support the event.
The Classic Car and Bike Show Series is approved annually and requires City Council authorization for street and parking lot closures.
All council members voted in favor of the request.
The events are expected to draw residents and visitors to the downtown area during the summer months.
