ADRIAN — The Lenawee County Department of Veterans Affairs Executive Committee has approved a change to its meeting schedule, moving from monthly meetings to a bi-monthly format beginning in 2026.

Committee members voted to hold meetings every other month, citing efficiency and scheduling flexibility while maintaining oversight of veterans services and funding decisions.

Under the newly approved calendar, meetings will continue to be held on Fridays, with the option to adjust dates if conflicts arise. The committee noted that the chair retains the ability to call special meetings if needed.

The full 2026 meeting schedule was formally approved during the committee’s January meeting.

Officials said the change is intended to streamline operations while continuing regular public access to committee business and decisions affecting local veterans.

The next scheduled meeting is set for March.
