LENAWEE CO. — State testing season is underway for students across Lenawee County.
Public school students, and many private school students, in the appropriate grade levels will take part in statewide assessments this spring, including the Michigan Merit Exam, the WIN Work Readiness Assessment, and M-STEP testing.
These exams are required by the Michigan Department of Education and are used to measure academic progress, workplace readiness, and school performance.
Local districts are currently preparing testing schedules, technology, and accommodations ahead of the spring testing windows.
Education officials say the results help guide instruction, graduation requirements, and long-term planning at both the local and state levels.
Testing will continue through the spring semester, with specific dates varying by district and assessment type.
