ADRIAN — Lenawee County is moving forward with a one-point-five million dollar housing rehabilitation program aimed at improving owner-occupied homes.
The County Board of Commissioners has authorized the next step in the MSHDA Community Development Block Grant homeowner rehabilitation program.
The program is expected to support up to seventy-five homeowner rehabilitation projects across the county.
Commissioners approved issuing a request for proposals to hire a third-party administrator to manage the program.
County officials say the administrator will be responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and state requirements tied to the grant.
Once selected, the administrator will oversee project eligibility, construction standards and reporting for the program.
