James Marc Holtz, age 65, passed away unexpectedly with his family by his side at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday, January 10, 2026. He was born on June 30, 1960, to James and Joyce (Dermyer) Holtz. Marc is a Sand Creek High School class of 1979 graduate. He worked as a forklift driver at Forvia in Saline, Michigan.
Marc had a great love of music and enjoyed going to concerts whenever he could. He also took great pride in the care of his lawn and garden. One of his favorite pastimes was relaxing by a bonfire with his family and friends. His big heart for family and friends can never be replaced.
Left to cherish the memory of Marc are his children, Alysha Holtz, Tyler (Shelby) Holtz, Janae (Brandon) Holtz, Natasha Holtz; mother, Joyce Holtz; brothers, Michael Holtz, Martin Holtz, Marvin Holtz, sister, Michelle (Mike) Johnson; he was the best Papa to: Tessa, Jayce, Camden, Raegan, Zander, Aubriella, Khaleesi, Kinzley, Emersyn and Hazen; and his loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, James Holtz, brother, Mickey Holtz, and nephew, Chandler Holtz.
Funeral Service for Marc will be held at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bruce Jewett officiating. Visitation for Marc will be held at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Burial will be at Hunt Cemetery in Madison Township.
