Joseph Doyle Friedrich, age 76, of Pittsford, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on June 1, 1949, in Addison, Michigan to Cyril J. and Donna E. (LaFollette) Friedrich. Joseph graduated from Hudson High School, where he was active in football and wrestling. After high school, Joseph pursued a career in the trades and founded Friedrich Brothers Roofing.
On August 12, 1972, Joseph married Brenda F. Cochran in Adrian. Together they shared over 53 years of Love.
In addition to his roofing business, Joseph owned and operated Margaritas restaurant in Hudson. He also enjoyed gardening, repairing things and being outdoors, but his greatest joy came from helping others and spending time with his family.
To cherish his memory, Joseph leaves his loving wife, Brenda; son, Jason (Artie) Friedrich; daughter, Amanda Hufnagle; three brothers, Charles Friedrich, Kenneth Friedrich, and Michael (Michelle) Friedrich; sister, Marie Young; and three grandchildren, Tyler and Katelyn Hufnagle and Addyson Schieber. In addition to his parents, Joseph is preceded in death by two brothers, Douglas and Thomas Friedrich, and a sister, Mary Akers.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the Marry Funeral Home in Hudson on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A funeral service for Joseph will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, January 8, 2026, beginning at 12:00 pm with Fr. Todd Koenigsknecht officiating. Burial will be private at Calvary Cemetery, Hudson.
Memorial contributions in honor of Joseph are suggested to benefit Sacred Heart Schools. Arrangements have been made with the guidance of the Marry Funeral Home, Hudson.
