ADRIAN — Road work is underway in the City of Adrian as officials continue street improvements following multiple construction projects in 2025.

The City of Adrian Engineering and Public Works Departments oversee maintenance across more than 86 miles of local, major, and state trunk line streets, along with storm sewers, sidewalks, traffic signals, pavement markings, and seasonal services.

After state-led resurfacing projects on major corridors in 2025, the city is preparing additional work on local streets.

Planned projects include base stabilization on Gulf Street, Maple Avenue, and Water Street; milling and resurfacing on West Maumee, Butler, and Front streets; reconstruction on Winter Street, Cherry Street, and Hunt Street; and crush-and-shape work on Railroad Street.

City officials also maintain a five-year capital street plan, a current and planned street work map, and coordinate with the Michigan Department of Transportation on overlapping projects.

Details on timing and traffic impacts are expected to be released as construction schedules are finalized.
