CLAYTON — A new weather monitoring project is moving toward approval for Ramsdell Park.
The Lenawee County Accounts Payable Committee has approved expenses tied to the installation of a solar-powered weather monitoring system at the park.
County officials said the equipment is part of a grant-funded project designed to support environmental monitoring and data collection. The system includes a weather station powered by solar energy and will be used to gather localized weather and environmental data.
The project is intended to support long-term environmental research and educational uses, with data collected at the park available for analysis and planning purposes.
The committee approved the expenses unanimously and forwarded the item to the full Lenawee County Board of Commissioners for final consideration.
If approved by the full board, installation would move forward as part of the broader grant-supported initiative.
